17 July 2008

Another horrible day playing online; I decide to change to canbetpoker and give it a try.

I know I only have myself to blame, but it seems the players playing online are getting better and better. There are players who are using software to give them an advantage while playing online; I have not tried any of those things but maybe I should give it a shot.

Last time when I finally win some money on poker, it takes me so long to actually get my money in my bank account. I am not happy with the way it is, but I know this is always a problem in this part of the world. I am not sure if banking is always a problem in China, maybe it is just my bank. Maybe I should switch to Bank of China instead.

I see ads on canbet poker on some live scores websites but Andy keep telling me about good things about them. I think Andy is right, sometimes playing on the ‘brand name’ poker sites is a liability because all the good players are playing on them already. Think about the money that some of the professionals get paid for to get them playing on these sites. Andy has been playing on canbet for a couple of weeks and he is doing well there.

I open my account today with canbet and very quickly the canbet guys give me confirmation emails. So far so good. I will probably withdraw some of my money next week to see if they are up to it. As I told Andy many times, for these overseas companies, withdrawal is the ultimate test on their reliability. I am not going to deposit a big sum of money with any overseas company unless I know I will get my money back.

I get an email from Mark, he is heading over to Macau this weekend to play poker at Grand Lisboa. This is good, I have a meeting there at lunchtime on Saturday, so I could play a bit there before heading back across the border. Maybe Mark will have a hotel room for me to crash in too.
